Toxoplasmosis is an infection that occurs commonly in cats. This infection occurs when there is insufficient strength in the immune system to prevent illness. Sheila’s immune system, as the disease progresses, has been weakened by poor treatment for years. Signs of toxoplasmosis include decreased coordination, disorientation, anorexia, lethargy, breathing problems, lymph nodes that are swollen, and possible blindness. If not correctly and quickly addressed, this illness can be lethal.
