They really didn’t know how to face it
As expected, and due to the hard blow they had just suffered, the couple did not know how to cope, nor how to deal with the painful situation they had just recently experienced. It could be said that once their son had the accident, once they lost their son, they had nothing much left to lose. It really felt as if all the savings they had had so far had been spent on his funeral.

In fact, it was something they never complained about, because it was the least they could do. Their son deserved to have a good eternal resting place, and they certainly protected that idea from the beginning. One of the things they promised was that they should take great care of the area where he would be buried forever.
