A lot of dirty laundry
Mary and Peter met the woman at school and, at first, perceived her as a sarcastic and heartless person. However, on a few occasions, the woman showed that she also cared. Despite this, at the cemetery, the couple was worried about how the woman would react when they met face to face after so long without speaking to each other. One of the reasons the couple was most nervous was to see how the woman would react when they met in person. They did not know if she would really take it very well or if, on the contrary, things could go from bad to worse from one moment to the next.

Peter and Mary reflected on their attitude toward the cemetery supervisor and began to consider that perhaps they had been too hard on her in the past. Perhaps she was just doing her job and enforcing the cemetery rules. They remembered an occasion when she had given them a little more time to spend at the cemetery and realized that perhaps she could be compassionate as well. With this new perspective, they approached her with a more open attitude and willing to listen to what she had to say. Now it could be said that they had a very different point of view than they had had on previous occasions, so the situation seemed to be getting better by the minute.
