Trying to comfort her
Peter comforted Mary by telling her that, although the situation would be difficult, they needed to know why the woman was putting roses on her son’s grave. He reminded them that life is about forgiveness and that regardless of any problems they may have had in the past, they could get through it together. Mary was moved and hugged Peter, accepting that they needed to face the situation. They prepared for bed, aware that the next day would be the time to face the problem. Although they were very nervous about everything that had happened, finally, they were finding some peace in all this ruckus and turmoil they had experienced in the last few days of their lives.

When they arrived at the cemetery, they were surprised to see a man waiting for them. He was an older, friendly looking man and introduced himself as the caretaker of the cemetery. He asked them if they were looking for anything in particular, and Peter and Mary explained that they were looking for a particular woman who had been leaving roses on her son’s grave. The caretaker nodded and told them that he knew who this woman was. He told them that she came every day at the same time and often stayed there for a while, before leaving in her car. True, they were getting closer and closer to the solution, but that day never seemed to want to come.
